Bad morning??

Okay...so it started out bad...but I just got a call from some in the Social research department at Calvin. Asking if I was indeed the Rachel VanSchepen who graduated from the teachers education program a few years ago and had recently filled out a survey? I said yes...he said they ahd the wrong email address for me but he saw my name in the groupwise address book so he gave it a try. Good thing!! I WON SOMETHING!!! An Amazon gift card. I never win anything! Not like Stewart or Sylvia! (Kevin and I tend to be AROUND people who win things!) YEA ME!!!

Rotten Morning

So Aunt Sarah wants updates on our life? How's this: I am having an awful morning, first a dentist appointment. Then... well, josh only ate once last night, so i just pumped- A LOT 9.5 oz....than I put the bottle in the bag, was packing up, and noticed the lid wasn't on tight and all my precious milk had spilled!!!!!!

Leaving my children....

Kevin surprised me with a night out on Friday! We had a lot of fun at Johnny Carino's, and the kids had lots of fun with Ruth and Emily.

PT challenge

The problem: Sam goes when you have left the room.
Example: Nanna went to check on Josh, Sam was in basement alone for about 5 minutes and so he pooped in his pants.
Example 2: Nanna and Sam playing outside. Josh sleeping inside. Nanna goes in to check Josh. Comes back downstairs, Sam at back door crying because he needed to pee. They didn't make it to the potty in time. Not really Sam's fault...he tried....

Potty Training

Are you sick of hearing about the potty yet? Well, today Sam is home with Nanna, and he just called me to tell me he peed on the potty. YEA!!!! And, apparently, he was playing and started going and jumped up and said I need to pee and they ran to the potty and he finished on the potty. that is a HUGE improvement. YEA SAM!!!!!! now if only he would do his #2's on the potty....

Bathroom Damage

I noticed water damage on our front entry ceiling. It was caused by water leakage around the bath upstairs. Not sure what I am going to do at this point. Suggestions?

Saturday- Day 3

Friday evening went well; Sam even told daddy he needed to pee...but saturday has been awful. Two messes and we cancelled our plans for the day. Will we ever be have normal days again where we can leave Sam in a room playing without worrying about messes? Will we ever dare take a car ride or go to a store????

Day 2

WEll, the morning started out not so good witht he whole potty ordeal. But over the past couple of hours we have had one accident, and one pee in the potty...so things are definatly better than yesterday!

Success

TWICE SAmmy has told us he need to pee and we ran to the bathroom and he went!!!!

DAddy and Potty

Okay, daddy is so much better with the whole potty ordeal. Sam will sit on the potty for as long as daddy wishes with no tears or anything. mommy....has to hold him down just to get him to stay on it!

Frustrated

So frustrated. I mean, I knew it would be hard and I knew my child was stubborn, I just had no idea how stubborn. He knows when he needs to go...he holds it in and cries and cries. He even runs to the bathroom, but for some reason he hates the toilet. He has peed in the toilet three times---me holding him on it. He has peed on the floor three times and hates it and cries and cries. Yet for some reason he is sooooo stubborn and refuses to go on the potty by himself! I don't know what to do anymore.

Potty....

He did it! He peed in the potty! We acted all excited, but Sam could have cared less! Well...we will keep working on it.

Potty Training

Today is a big day! W e are working on going on the potty..Sam is quite stubborn so I will let you know how it goes....

The Lip

The worst experience I have had, yet, as a mother. Even worse than Josh's emergency room visit- Sam fell on saturday, the 4th, and cut his lip open. Sooo much blood; soooo much screaming....And he chose his daddy over mommy!

Twins?

The first picture is Sam at 4 months- he was 18 lbs. 8 oz. and 27 inches. Then there is Josh at 4 months- 18 lbs. and 26 inches. What is the verdict? Do they look alike or not?
