FOUR!!!

Our backwards boy is FOUR! What a fun day- mommy went to school with Josh and watched him in gym and painting. Josh got a crown and birthday lion came out too. Later mommy and Josh played with new presents, and Josh picked pancakes for dinner. What a fun day!

But where is my Orca?

On sunday we had a little birthday party for Josh. There was family and friends, presents and cake, and lots of excitement. Josh didn't want the pizza for dinner...so he had cereal. At one point he opened a gift and said, "I been BEGGING for this!" He was very excited about all of his presents. Kevin and Sam were excited about the lego castle and of course had to build it that night.

At the end of the night, Josh said, "But where was my Orca present?" Hmmm, I had no idea he wanted an Orca! And, as Kevin and I went to bed we peaked in on the boys and found Josh just like this!! (See Grandpa John, all that worry about finding a good present!)

Poor Sam

Last night Sam fell off his bike. We are not exactly sure what happened because Kevin was inside and I wasn't home. Poor Sam! He was in a lot of pain- even after he went to bed he woke up an hour later crying. He is doing much better this morning. I was a little worried about head injury, but it is mostly his face, hand, and knee. Thank goodness for bike helmets! Tomorrow is school picture day at Sam's school, what do you think, best kindergarten picture ever??

First days of school! Our crazy week

Monday: Storybook Garden with Grandpa and grandma then drive home to GR- Rachel feels very sick

Tuesday: Rachel VERY sick, KEvin has to stay home and go the parent preschool meeting. No one else sick.

Wednesday: Rachel a bit better, no one else sick- Sam and Zeke to Nancy's house, Rachel and Josh go to his first day of preschool- just an hour with mom. Wednesday ends with no one sick.

Josh, 2009 - First day of preschool!!

Sam 2007- First day of preschool!!

Josh- wanted to make sure I stayed in the classroom but he had no desire to do the crafts with me. He wanted to play animals, trains, sandbox etc. Back in 2007 Sam never left my side. He helped with the pictures and then all he wanted to do was games and puzzles with me.

Thursday: No one sick. Boys go to Nancy's, Rachel goes to work. 3:00 pick them up, josh doesn't feel well. 4:00- Josh throws up all over the living room (another reason your house should always be clean- he hit EVERYTHING on the floor!) Josh takes a bath, then he plays and plays and plays. Then he says he is hungry- eats a banana and yogurt. Later everyone goes to bed. No one gets sick.

Thursday night: Rachel packs Sam's lunch for his first FULL DAY of school. Yes- she put an I LOVE YOU! Note in his lunchbag!

Friday morning: Everyone happy, eating cereal and ready for school!!

Sam waiting for the bus. He is soooo ready to get to school!

First day of Kindergarten!! All day!

Showing off their backpacks- they both wanted their names on it. Sam wanted a 6, and Josh picked out animals.

When I brought Josh to school Sam was out by his hook, so I snapped a picture! He was excited about his lunch (at 9AM....)

This is above Josh's hook- I am talented, huh?

Josh first day of preschool without mom. He acted nervous and asked me to stay. But he was excited about circle time, so he sat down and I waved goodbye. He barely looked at me! When I picked him up later he talked a mile a minute about everything they did. He loved it and can't wait to go back! (And he wasn't sick!- so glad he came!)

2007- Sam first day of preschool.

I will try to get a picture of Sam at 4:00 getting off the bus! Oh- and my morning with Zeke was GREAT! Grocery shopping with one kid? A marvelous experience!

6 boys?

The Kynzie story Wow. And quite scary too.

Cutie

About a month ago I saw some pajamas at Target that I thought were soooo cute for Josh. They not only had animals on them- but one set was red and white, the other set was brown and tan. With Joshy's brown eyes and dark complexion he looks adorable in those colors. Problem- he didn't need pajamas and they weren't on sale. So I was good girl and kept walking. But every time over the next weeks whenever I visited a Target (which is pretty often) I always looked at those pajamas. Finally, the last time there was only one left in his size. So I bought them. After all, Target isn't THAT expensive and who can argue with how cute he is?!?!
