Post Farm

Today I had a really fun time going with Sam and his preschool class to Post farm. It was great, and I hope to go back sometime with the family! Here is what we did:

1. The first stop was a hay maze. The kids could climb on top or crawl through tunnels. this was Sam's favorite part and he kept asking to go back!

2. Next we took a hayride to the pumpkin patch and then back to the barn.

3. Here we are picking pumpkins to take home.

4. Yum! Donuts and apple cider! These were pumpkin donuts and they were soooooo good. (Sam kept begging for a second donut, which of course was a no, and then he continued to stare at the little girl who didn't eat her donut!)

5. Then we got to see and pet all different kinds of animals. Sam wouldn't pet anything (not even the little baby chick and bunny!) but he did smile at the horses so that was a little better!

6. The trip ended with a fun story that all the kids participated in.

Random picture: The boys had matching Mexx shirts on the other day so we had to snap a photo!

Weekend and Birthday

We had a really fun weekend- Aunt Sarah and Brian came to visit. We all had a good time, but the boys especially loved having them here. I am so mad that I didn't take more pictures because there really were some cute moments! It was also absolutely gorgeous outside- Josh loves to run or push things through the leaves. Finally, Monday was Kevin's birthday and the ever wonderful Aunt Ashley babysat so Kevin and I could enjoy eating in a restaraunt without kids! We also invited the Moore's to join us- it really was fun spending time with friends and not having kids around!

Babysitting and other cute pics

I LOVE fall- the colors, the weather, and just all the activities we are involved in. Also, I like the change in seasons because it means getting out different clothes for the boys. At this point I am tired of the same ole shorts and short sleeves. Even though both boys are wearing pants/long sleeves from last year, it is still a change! (I know I am wierd!)

I am going to be taking some good fall pictures soon, but for now, this is what we have been up to the past week/weeks. First, Sam had grandparents/grandfriends day at his school. His grandparents all work, but the teacher seemed to get a lot of pictures of him with other kids. Sam didn't seem to mind he didn't have grandparents there, but he did say, "I want my grandpa to come to school with me." And he also said, "Megan had A LOT of grandparents!"

The next pic is of Josh (cute outfit!!!) he was having so much fun "fixing" his trains!

Finally, this week I am babysitting. Tuesday we had Brendan, Sydney, and Amber here- I thought I was crazy, but it wasn't that bad. I mean, there were "moments" I was stressed, but for one day it was worth it. The kids seemed to have lots of fun. I love the picture of the three boys- it isn't the best picture I took of them, but I love Brendan's expression. Amber is with us Thursday and Friday too- she is so easy and seems to love playing with the boys. (And it is fun having a little girl around! Her outfits are so cute!) And of course Noah and Seth are here for a couple hours thursday morning. Busy house this week! But it is fun too- the boys love having their friends over!

I know I am a dork, but when I saw Noah, Seth's, and Sam's shoes all I could think was "you gotta love Target!"

ESL

Well I am done with another session of ESL. This year was a lot harder for me- it is such a busy time being gone M-TH from 5:30 to 10:30- and it is very exhausting. I also struggled because I was working with a different teacher and aid and it just wasn't as fun and easy as last year. I did however, enjoy my students. We had over 20 students and I really had a great time with most of them. There were also a couple of really cute little girls there! So, here are a few pics of some of my students. I am so happy to be home with my family again!

Sam and School

First-
Josh went to the doctor today 29 pounds and 34 inches he is in the 50 percentile for kids his age.
Now, Sam has been in school for a month now. His teacher takes lots of pictures and makes a book for them at the end of the year. She also posts them for us to download- so here are some of those pics. He seems to like it, but he also says he wants to stay home with Joshy. Also, there have been like 5 projects that I see other kids going home with, but not Sam. SO I need to talk to the teacher and see if he is participating....it wouldn't surprise me if he is stubbornly not wanting to do something, but I don't want to pay this much money just for him to play! Also, the picture of Sam working at the table on a project- that other little boy his Jaden, he goes to our church. He is also the one that Sam said, "Jaden and I were throwing toys from the loft so we had to sit in chairs!"

Happy Birthday Josh!

Sunday September 30 Joshy turned TWO! He had a really fun day- weekend actually. On sunday he had so much fun with all his family, presents, and candy that afterward he took a 3 and a half hour nap!!! (We made it to church JUST in time!) Josh wasn't that happy about that- I mean the poor kid opened all these great gifts, then went to bed. Then when he woke he went to church. When we got home he played, and played and played. I love the picture of him with his cars!

Sam update: last week he was a little sick but the doctor said he didn't think it was a urinary tract infection. So even though he had fever and constantly complained about his tummy all I could do was "give him hugs on the couch". Yesterday (monday) his doctor office called and said it WAS an infection. So, he is now finally on meds and hopefully all this peeing and tummy hurting will finally go away and the "normal Sam" will return!
