What is you purpose?

Here is a link to a really good chapel. My dad told me to watch it- it is a former Holland Christian teacher who came back to give a chapel. She had left to be a stay at home mom, her chapel speech is a bit about being a stay at home mom, but is mostly about "purpose". Check it out. It is good.

Sigh. Rough coupla days.

What do you think- maybe Josh just shouldn't play in the living room?!?! Or maybe we need Spring already so they can burn off this energy outside!

WHY WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO THROW BALLS IN THE HOUSE!

They weren't even supposed to be in the living room!

I was in the kitchen and was ignoring the fact that they had wandered upstairs to the living room after being told to stay downstairs. Sam was playing Leapster. Josh was bouncing around (he is a very bouncy kid). I did not know the bouncing involved a BALL.

LOUD CRASH. Then, simultaneously I hear:

Sam (in his tattletale bored like voice): MOOOOM, look what Josh did.
Josh: BAWLING. WAILING.

He came running to me and reached up for a hug. I think he was scared and felt really really bad all at the same time. It helped me stay calmer! Seeing that he felt so awful about it really did help me keep my cool-I did not yell or raise my voice at all. I mean, he still needed to sit in time out, which he did very obediently (he actually sat there with his head down but just as I tried to sneak a picture he lifted his head up).

But there really is a difference between defiance and just saying, "sorry," compared to Josh's emotions which truly showed how awful he felt.

For EVERYONE: Please stop throwing balls in my house!!!
