Tooth, Collection, baby

Sam just lost his first tooth! Finally, that thing was loose FOREVER. The other tooth is already half way in his mouth...

Josh has been into "collecting". He finds the randomest things and puts them in his collection. The best part- all bottle caps, hair ties, paper clips that he finds on the floor go right into his collection.

the other day I babysat for some friends. Zeke LOVED it. He kept bringing baby toys and always wanted to be by her. If she fussed or made any kind of noise he'd say "mommy Lily, mommy Lily..." The next day he woke up and went "Lily, Lily, where are you?"

Valentines Weekend

We were feeling the love this Valentine's Weekend. First, Grandpa John came and Josh, Zeke, Grandpa, and I went sledding. It was fun- Zeke kept saying "down, down, down." Then, the Martin's came to visit! The boys loved having friends over and everyone got to skate on the rink in the backyard. We even found a brave soul to watch the 6 boys while we went out to dinner =) On sunday night, Kevin had a youth group event- Murder Mystery Dinner- and he won best costume! He was a great and honorable Knight (who died, but he had a good costume!)

Celebrating Hockey Day in Michigan Saturday January 30

First, a few pictures of Josh at Hockey practice in the morning.

In the afternoon, we had the Cross Ice Jamboree at VanAndel. Kevin coaches Sam's cross ice group on saturdays. This was the first time they put everything they have been learning into an actual game against other teams. They played 3 12 minute games. It was really fun to see how excited Sam was to play, and it was great watching him too!

GAME 1

Sam is in the white jersey and white helmet.

GAME 2

Game two was a bit tough for Sam. He didn't like "big guy with pink laces who keeps knocking us down". At one point he layed on the ice, hurt, and our friends' son Drew was talking to him and being nice, and then Kevin came and skated Sam off the ice.

GAME 3
Sam WANTED to play goalie. I thought everyone had to take a turn, but no, he really wanted to play. It was pretty boring and then he did play the last half of the game.
