The first days we were here we stayed with Cindy and Gene Hiemstra in Salem. Their hospitality was overwhelming and their home and yard was gorgeous! We had a great time.
Nicholas and Ashley VanSchepen June 3, 2006 Our camera broke on Friday, so we didn't get to take any pictures! Luckily, my mother had snapped a few. Sam did such a good job as the little ring bearer! In between the ceremony and reception, while we were all in the Limo, my parents took the boys in my car and they both feel asleep in their car seats for a loooooong time. Sam was exhausted! He also wasn't feeling well, so unfortunatly he woke up VERY crabby. The hotel was a lot of fun too! I finally got to try my sling in the pool- Josh and I LOVED it!
Memorial day was fun and relaxing. We spent it in Holland with my folks- golf, shopping, walks, and Sammy and the hose. He had a gredat time with that hose; yes, he is in his underwear because his mother didn't bring his bathing suit!
As many of you know I have had a really hard time with getting Josh to eat foods. It is so different then Sam! Samloved food right from the start and would eat anything I gave him- especially vegetables which he still loves. Josh won't open his mouth. So I stopped trying for a couple weeks and just started up again. He is doing a little better, but not much. If he doesn't like something he throws up (apparently he doesn't care for peas). I have been sort of annoyed because he is so far behind what Sam was doing at this time. I know I need to just be patient, but it is really hard. I found a great article about starting solids on one of my favorite websites: http://www.kellymom.com/nutrition/solids/index.html
Josh is already starting to get into a crawling position- moving his legs and stretching for toys. Give him a month or two and he will be moving all around! We love BabyLegs! check out buybabylegs.com.
I did a post earlier with my high school friends and kids...this picture is two good friends of mine from college and their new babies: Cindy with Claire, and Kristin with Zoe. Welcome little girls!
