Bug bites and mud puddles

I wish I had had a camera at the softball game last night. Not just to take a picture of poor Aunt Ashley with a screaming Zeke, but to take a picture of Josh. Instead you will have to use your imaginations, so picture this: MUD PUDDLES and JOSH. Yeah...when we went to the van to go home, we stripped Josh to his diaper and squirted him with water from our water bottles.

After the game we all went back to our house to hang out on the deck. There were a lot of mosquito's. The below picture is what Josh looked like this morning, apparently the bugs like him. The picture does not do it justice, the bites are VERY red and the bite on his forward looks like a huge bump sticking out from his head. (If you click on the picture it gets bigger and you can see the bites a little better.)

Dimples ?

We think that Zeke's smile is starting to show a hint of dimples. What do you think? At this age Sam had very prominent dimples- I don't think he ever smiled without dimples. Josh has never had dimples. I think Zeke might be in between.

Preschool

Sadly, Sam only has three more days of preschool left. He really likes school, and has grown in many ways. Below are pictures of him and his friend Jaden (he is spending the afternoon with us), a couple photos from the mothers day tea, and photos from the fishing trip. I am also waiting for his teacher to post photos from bike day and the airplane hanger field trip!

Lovin' It

My beautiful deck! Love it, love it, love it! Kevin still has one more piece to finish- he went to the store to get it but they were out. This morning I killed a bee, and Sam asked if I was better then Grandma!

Josh LOVES his sandbox, still diggin'! although, as I type this, he is talking to the little girl who lives behind us. He tried to bring her a shovel of sand! This morning I caught Sam and Josh dumping Sand on their heads...so, even though the box is great because they love it...it is also SOOOO messy!

Zeke is 3 months old!! this morning he did a big poopie, ate a lot, and has been sleeping in his crib for the past 2 and half hours...(of course on his tummy!)

Memorial Day Weekend

As the deck got further and further along, we could add more chairs!

Daddy also built a sandbox for our little dirt lover....

OLD DECK:

NEW DECK!! (Sorry about the towels...Kevin actually has to finish one more thing and then I will take a better picture!)

What we have been up too...

One Night Sam and Josh helped me make pizza. I think my favorite part was when Josh spit on Kevin's side of the pizza...

Claire came and played with us. It was a lot of fun, Josh and Claire were so cute! Girls are really different!

Zeke still sleeps on his tummy, and of course in our bed!

Kevin, Zeke, and I went to Ontario for Pake's 75th birthday. Sam and Josh stayed in Holland with Nana and grandpa John. We all had a good time!

We are trying some new diapers. The BumGenius 3.0 diaper fits both Zeke AND Josh! We are also using the flushable liners--or as I call them, poop catchers, and they are WONDERFUL!

Finally, this is a picture of me being a "good mom". I don't like messes, and it annoys me that my boys like to take all the blankets and pillows and throw them around. But here in this picture Sam was playing and I did not say anything. It was a huge step for me....and later he cleaned them up without me asking!!!

Tulip Time

3 Little Dutch Boys went to a parade
The first little boy had lots and lots to say
The second little boy cried at the noise the bands made
and the third little boy was strapped to mom, snug as a bug!

But wait! There is more than just parades! Beautiful flowers, dutch dancing friends, and of course, ELEPHANT EARS!

Goodbye until next year Tulip Time!

Two Month Appointment

Below photos of Zeke, Josh, and Sam around two months. Zeke had his appointment today- he SCREAMED at those shots!!! Anyway, keeping in mind that each childs "two month" appointment is different in the actual number of days...here are the numbers:

Zeke: 14 lbs 2 oz and 24 inches
Josh: 14 lbs 2 oz. and 24 inches
Sam: 14 lbs. 10 oz and 25 inches.

Side note.... Conversation with Josh in the car:

Rach: Josh, look at that purple tree! How pretty!

Josh: Yes, look at that green tree!

Rach: Pretty!

Josh: ANOTHER green tree! And another! Green tree, green tree, ANOTHER green tree! green tree, green tree, another, another, green tree, green tree...look at THAT!

Rach: What?

Josh: THAT!!!

RAch: Green tree?

Josh: no, DIRT!!!! Look at that DIRT!!! oh, another green tree, and another!

Baptism went fine!

Sunday was Zeke and Mia's baptism and it went great. Sam and Josh did fine pouring the water, and Josh was very cute when he "baptized" Zeke. Here are just a few pictures from Sunday's service and Pastor Thea Leunk baptizing Zeke..

I love this picture because of Cindy's expression- it made me laugh.

Nieces and Nephew

My brother John and sister-in-law Brooke just became the proud foster parents of three kids. So here is a pic of my new nieces and nephew! John and Brooke will care for these kids anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months. We are praying all goes well! What an adjustment for everyone involved!!
